About Me
On the production side, we create podcasts, documentary-style video content, and YouTube Live shows for a growing range of clients - including AstroAgency, the Centre for Hate Studies at the University of Leicester, and the Institute for Policy at the University of Leicester, where we produce a series of portrait-style policy brief videos. We also provide video production, data analysis, and digital marketing support for the Bristol & Beyond Stronger Practice Hub, and we produce the Shaking It Up With Parkinson's podcast in partnership with Parkinson's UK - a series exploring life, movement, and resilience hosted by Maria Lewis and Vicky Rees-Davies.
I'm also the Director of Technology at TeenTech, a UK charity, where I present workshops at TeenTech Festivals across the UK and produce virtual events - delivering live, interactive online sessions to young people featuring special guests from the worlds of science, technology, engineering, gaming, animation, and music.
Alongside this, I'm the Technical Director of Adaptive Fitness Training (AFT), a specialist education company for fitness professionals working with neurological conditions and rehabilitation - where I oversee the technology, digital infrastructure, and video production side of the business.
I also run coding workshops in UK schools through our Code Created initiative.
I'm a technology enthusiast, movie fanatic, and gamer. I enjoy travelling, taking random road trips, running, rollercoasters and theme parks, and drinking coffee. Lots of coffee.
Recent Projects
New app inbound! 🎬👀🎙️
Over the past year, we've produced a lot of podcasts and social media videos, and so many of them involve a presenter reading from a script. We tried plenty of teleprompter apps along the way, but they all either required a subscription or fell short ...of what we needed (scrolling at a fixed speed, for example, or getting screwy the moment a presenter ad-libbed or improvised). And they'd fall apart completely with two hosts.
So we built the app we actually wanted to use. It's called Onwords. It's now in submission and coming soon.

Onwords is a teleprompter that listens to you and follows your voice, rather than making you keep up with it. Pause, and it waits. Stumble over a line or ad-lib, and it stays with you. Skip a whole section, and it catches up. You speak at whatever pace suits the material, and the script keeps pace with you.
Because it uses the built-in speech engine in Windows, it runs entirely on your own machine. No account, no subscription, no internet connection needed, and nothing you say or write ever leaves your computer. It's Windows-only for now (but we'll look at a Mac/iOS version in the future).
One feature we're especially pleased with is that it handles two presenters. On some of the videos we've produced for the University of Leicester's Institute for Policy, we've had more than one person reading, and a normal teleprompter really struggles with that (or the hosts struggle to see which lines are theirs!). Onwords lets you assign lines to each presenter, colour-codes them on screen, and follows whoever is talking, so handovers are something you see coming rather than catching presenters out.

Some of the best things we make start with our own annoyances.
We kept hitting the same problem on our own video shoots, something you'd assume someone must have solved by now. Turns out, not quite the way we wanted ...(close, but with flaws). So we built it ourselves.
Not ready to say more yet, but it won't be long.
Last week, the Chaos Created team produced August's Adaptive Fitness Training Live Panel Webinar, "My Client has MS: What Do I Need to Know?", streamed live on YouTube with real-time audience Q&A running throughout.

Rhiannon Kelland, MS Specialist Physiotherapist and author of AFT's Becoming an MS Pro course, gave the clinical grounding: what MS actually is, the different types, and the symptoms that shape exercise prescription most, from fatigue and heat intolerance to spasticity and balance, with practical strategies for programming and progressing safely.
Alongside her, Megan Boxall (@megan.runbritain) brought lived experience from the very top of endurance sport. Diagnosed with MS in 2024, Megan is the fastest woman to run the entire coastline of Great Britain, 200 marathons in 204 days, and she joined us straight off a flight, having finished running the Camino de Santiago that same morning!
It was an incredible evening, and a really inspiring conversation. We had an active audience participating in the live chat throughout, with questions arriving from across the UK and as far afield as China. For those watching live, the session also carried half a CIMSPA CPD point.
The community around these sessions keeps growing, with familiar faces back each month and new ones joining all the time. Huge thanks to Rhiannon, Megan and the whole AFT team.

Their father had Parkinson's - and Sonya's husband Chris was diagnosed at 34, just two months after their wedding. Two diagnoses. One family. And two people who speak about it with such honesty, warmth, humour and love.
Sonya is extraordinary. Eighteen years in, she speaks about life with Chris with humour, practicality and a fierce love that comes through in every word - and she has a remarkable amount of practical advice for anyone walking a similar road. Jeremy is no bystander in this story either - he lost his father to Parkinson's, he watches his sister every day, and he speaks with such honesty about the impact Parkinson's has had on their entire family.

Busy morning at Chaos Created! We've been immersed in Fortnite sprites, getting the Sprite Field Guide app ready before the new chapter drops this afternoon.
When we started building the app back at the start of the last chapter (initially for fun and to help family and friends, ...before we decided to publish it to the app stores), it tracked a single season's sprites. That was fine, until Epic announced that, due to their popularity, the next chapter would bring an entire roster of twelve new sprites.
So today's big job was building in multi-season support: season tabs, separate progress and mastery for each, and (the part we cared most about) a guarantee that everyone's Chapter 3 collection stays completely untouched. Nobody wants to open an app on launch day and find months of tracking gone.
Alongside that: each new sprite arrives in three variants to collect, including a brand new Cheat Master variant, plus a fresh look drawn from the new chapter's key art and season-stamped share images so nothing gets confused between chapters.
The fun part has been keeping pace with the reveals. Half of this was built against leaks and teasers, tweaking sprite data and artwork as Epic dripped out details, then double-checking the moment more was confirmed. A proper moving target, and a good test of building something flexible enough to adapt quickly.
Two milestones we're thrilled about as this goes live: the app passed 5,000 active users yesterday, and it's holding a 4.6-star rating on Google Play. Not bad for something that started as a side project.

Whether you're interviewing people or staring down a microscope, you're doing it through your own history, identity and assumptions, and those shape the questions you ask and how you read what you find. Diane explored it beautifully, including why it matters just as much in STEM as in the social sciences.

Hosts Gez Williams, PhD and Kike Ladipo, PhD, SFHEA were in ...conversation with guest Lynne Howells, covering some really interesting ground: what allyship actually is, the difference between active and performative allyship, why so many people are nervous to speak up, and the small everyday actions that end up making the biggest difference. There was also a lovely reminder that most people are probably already allies without realising it.
It's a real privilege to work with such wonderful people on such interesting and important work. Looking forward to sharing this episode later this year.

Yesterday we recorded another episode of Difficult Conversations, the podcast series we're producing for the University of Leicester's I-REACCH project. This episode focuses on rebuilding research cultures, with Professor Kate Williams, and it was a really practical, grounded ...conversation.
Kate's central point is all about putting people first. Invest in a team, help people feel they belong and that their ideas are heard, and better research follows. She was wonderful on the strength of small teams over the big institution, on normalising failure rather than only celebrating the wins, and on the value of leading with empathy.

A particular highlight was the opportunity for the children to design and build their own game.
